We also have a garden and play area at the rear of the building equipped with safe and age appropriate garden toys. The floor surface area of the garden is a special safety surface to prevent injuries – this has recently been extended with new outdoor play equipment ,climbing frame and a sun shelter.
We encourage parent involvement and listen to suggestions All children are given a book entitled ‘All about me’. This is used as a method of communication between ourselves, each individual child and their families. information is shared, photographs and achievements recorded to provide an ongoing progress record of their time at nursery.
Parents are informed daily of any changes and updates on arrival and collection .Newsletters are sent to parents each term and regular photographs and development records are kept in their records. We also send photographs by email to parents showing their child only in any significant events and celebrations which take place during their child’s nursery day .
We are a small and friendly nursery with a good reputation and Ofsted report .
My background as Owner manager is paediatric nursing and I also hold qualifications in nursery nursing and early years management .
The rest of my team hold relevant childcare qualifications and have many years of experience between us .
We remain covid safe and promote covid safe practices . Visits can be arranged either at the beginning or end of the day to minimise the risks to children in our care by adopting these simple measures .
Funded places are available
Nursery education grant funded children are welcome and places offered are dependant on availability.
We cannot always accommodate the full 15 funded hours and can sometimes only offer shorter hours dependant on placement availability. At this nursery we will offer three extended entitlement 30 hour free placements only as long as the eligibility / validity checks meet the criteria. Placements will only be valid for three months / LEA term time only . A voluntary charge of £3.00 per day to meet government guidelines will apply to those children accessing free placements to cover the costs of food and drink . Priority will be given to those that pay the additional charge.
Additional 30 hour placements will be offered to those parents who meet the criteria attending four or five full days per week on a permanent year round contract.
Fully inclusive service, all care, food and nappies inclusive of cost.
All dietary needs are accommodated, for example vegetarian, gluten or milk free menus can be planned. Happy to administer prescribed medication for asthma, diabetes etc. Staff have received training in autism and offer support to those children with additional needs.
All staff hold fully recognised childcare qualifications and receive additional annual training to update current knowledge and improve on good practice.
Additional Weekly Music and movement, Twirling Toddlers sessions each Wednesday for all children.
